News: Ungaretti & Harris Women Attorneys Continue to Strengthen Their Presence in Firm Leadership Roles

Chicago, December 6, 2005 — Ungaretti & Harris LLP took another step forward in supporting its women leaders with the recent promotions of five women attorneys into the firm’s income and equity partnerships.

Ungaretti & Harris is showing its tangible commitment to the Chicago Bar Association’s “Call to Action” on Women’s Leadership in the Legal Profession initiative.  Inspired by this initiative, the firm is taking the time to re-evaluate and re-commit itself to strengthening the role of women attorneys within its ranks.  Currently, women partners serve as chairs for the following firm committees:

• Samera Syeda Ludwig, Co-Chair, Diversity Committee – Ms. Ludwig has served on the Diversity Committee since its inception and was recently appointed as co-chair.  She also served as a past co-chair for the Young Lawyer Section of the Chicago Bar Association’s Immigration subcommittee.

• Anne M. Haule, Co-Chair, Diversity Committee – Ms. Haule is a founding member of the diversity committee and has served as a co-chair since its inception in 2002.  She is an established member in the healthcare law industry, currently serving as Director of the Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys.

• Stacey Feeley Cavanagh, Hiring Partner and Chair, Summer Program Committee – Ms. Cavanagh has headed up the firm’s summer program for the past 3 years, and participates as a member of the Women’s Bar Association.

Additionally, Ungaretti & Harris retains women as directors for the firm’s finance, human resources and marketing departments.
