Ungaretti & Harris Involved in Three Major Deals

The October issue of Chicago Lawyer reported the Corporate and Public Finance groups' involvement in three major transactions, as excerpted from Chicago Lawyer:
"Five Illinois attorneys were involved in the financing of an addition to the OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. The $500 million deal is the largest hospital financing deal in state history. Charles F. Thomas of Hinshaw & Culbertson and general counsel Vance C. Parkhurst represented The Sisters of the Third Order of Saint Francis, which owns the OSF Healthcare System. John F. Bibby, Jr. of Jones Day acted as bond counsel; Steven B. Kite of Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal represented Merrill Lynch & Co., the underwriter of the bonds; Julie K. Seymour of Ungaretti & Harris represented the Illinois Finance Authority.
Ungaretti & Harris announced the sale of Wilton Industries, a leading food crafting company in Woodbridge, to EK Success, a provider of paper-based craft products. The total value of the three-party deal was $1.15 billion, with the sale of Wilton totaling $700 million. Ungaretti partners Alton B. Harris and Gary I. Levenstein led the transaction. Also working on the deal were Ungaretti partners Joseph K. Hasson and Jennifer R. Quinn, and associates Christopher J. Schafer and Adam R. Jung.
Ungaretti also represented KL Holding Company, a Nevada-based international resort and casino development company, in its $65 million acquisition of La Cabana Villas Timeshare Resort and the Royal Cabana Casino in Aruba. Gary Levenstein led the deal, along with partners Brian E. Krob, James E. Lentz, and Frank J. Emmons. Associate Christopher Schafer was involved in various aspects of the transaction."
