James E. Lentz
Jim concentrates his practice in general real estate, low-income housing tax credit transactions, real estate financing, leasing, zoning and land use and real estate development of all types. His work includes assisting clients in structuring, negotiating, conducting due diligence and closing sales, purchases, leases and loans. He also represents purchasers of low-income housing tax credits, administrators of real estate-backed securities, corporate custodians, bankers, homebuilders, landlords and tenants. Some of the types of transactions he handles are shopping center development and acquisition, office building development and acquisition and TIF projects in conjunction with the firm’s experts in governmental affairs. He has also handled airport leases for the City of Chicago and worked with many municipalities on behalf of home builder clients.

Representing a trustee in winding up multi-billion dollar securitized RTC commercial and residential mortgage pools.

Representing and advising one of the country’s leading custodians of mortgage files on operational and fiduciary issues in structured financing transactions.

Representing and advising a national bank in its role as collateral agent for securitized and structured real estate financings.
