News: Five Associates Promoted to Partner

Ungaretti & Harris LLP announced today that five associates have been elected to partnership. Shannon Capone Kirk, Theodore T. Eidukas, Samera Syeda Ludwig and Tina B. Solis are partners in the Litigation Department, and Alex Pirogovsky is a partner in the Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Practice Area.

Ms. Capone Kirk, 32, will continue to focus her practice on mass tort defense and a variety of litigation including contract disputes, trade secret and product liability.  Ms. Capone Kirk will also continue her work in the developing law on electronic discovery. She earned her bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from St. John’s University in 1995 and her juris doctor, cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School in 1998.

Mr. Eidukas, 35, has significant experience in litigation involving complex class actions, insurance coverage, and utilities. He has been involved in trials addressing such diverse issues as insurance coverage, defamation, breach of fiduciary duty, and alleged violations of the Voting Rights Act.  Mr. Eidukas earned his B.A. from Augustana College in 1991 and his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law in 1994.

Ms. Ludwig, 33, concentrates her practice in complex, multi-party litigation with an emphasis on the defense of consumer fraud and securities class actions.  She also handles other complex litigation matters in the areas of employment law and general commercial litigation and advises individuals and corporations in employment-based immigration compliance matters. Ms. Ludwig earned her B.A., with honors, from Wesleyan University in 1994 and her J.D. from Columbia University School of Law in 1997 where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Columbia Journal of Gender & Law.

Ms. Solis, 33, has extensive experience in a wide array of business disputes, including contract actions, business breakups, shareholder remedies, commercial fraud, trade secret litigation, unfair competition, business torts, and employment defense. She has litigated in both state and federal courts at the trial and appellate level.  Ms. Solis earned her bachelor’s degree and juris doctor, both with high honors, from the University of Iowa in 1994 and 1997, respectively.

Mr. Pirogovsky, 33, focuses his practice on all aspects of bankruptcy, including the representation of debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, and creditors' committees.   He earned his B.A. from Northwestern University in 1994 and his J.D. from Washington University School of Law in 1998.
