Seven Associates Elected to Partnership at Ungaretti & Harris LLP

Chicago, November 8, 2006 — Ungaretti & Harris LLP announced today that seven associates have been elected to partnership. Brian V. Alcala, James M. Carlson, Hallie A. Diethelm, John T. Ruskusky and Jessica K. Thomas are partners in the Litigation Department. Catherine T. Gonzalez and Jennifer R. Quinn are partners in the Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation and Corporate, Securities & Finance departments, respectively.
Mr. Alcala focuses his practice in employment and labor matters. He earned his bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from University of Notre Dame in 1994 and his juris doctor, cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law in 1997.
Mr. Carlson’s practice involves complex commercial matters in state and federal courts including multi-district litigation as well as mediation and arbitration proceedings. He earned his B.A. from Michigan State University in 1996 with high honors and his J.D. from University of Michigan Law School in 1999.
Ms. Diethelm concentrates her practice in a variety of areas of substantive law, including products liability, labor & employment, and general commercial litigation. She earned both her B.A., summa cum laude, and her J.D., summa cum laude, from Ohio State University in 1996 and 1999, respectively.
Ms. Gonzalez focuses her practice on tax-qualified retirement plans, nonqualified plans for executives, including tax-exempt organizations, and welfare plans. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Northeastern Illinois University, with high honors, in 1982 and her juris doctor from Chicago Kent College of Law, with high honors, in 1989.
Ms. Quinn concentrates her practice on mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, corporate finance, private capital transactions, and general business counseling. She earned her B.B.A. from University of New Mexico, magna cum laude, in 1996 and her J.D. from the John Marshall Law School, cum laude, in 1999.
Mr. Ruskusky concentrates his practice in complex commercial litigation and arbitration and employment counseling. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1995 and his juris doctor from George Washington University Law School, with highest honors, 1998.
Ms. Thomas focuses her practice on commercial litigation. She earned her B.F.A. from University of Michigan in 1995 and her J.D., with honor, from DePaul University College of Law in 1999.
