News: Ungaretti & Harris' Samera Ludwig to Speak at the American Conference Institute's 3rd National Forum on Law Firm Diversity

Chicago, October 31, 2006 — Samera S. Ludwig, Litigation and Labor & Employment Partner at Ungaretti & Harris LLP’s Chicago office, will speak at the American Conference Institute’s 3rd National Forum on Law Firm Diversity January 29-30, 2007, at the Conrad Chicago in Chicago, IL.

The American Conference Institute’s National Forum on Law Firm Diversity is an event focusing on complicated issues presented by diversity, as well as the successful implementation of policies to combat those problems. Ms. Ludwig will speak on the challenges faced by mid-size and small firms in recruiting and retaining diverse attorneys. Other forum issues will be: how diversity is reflected in firm policies, overcoming adversity within diversity, how to keep partners engaged in diversity programs, the aspirations of diversity attorneys, and enforcing mentor/mentee responsibilities.

Ms. Ludwig received her J.D. in 1997 from Columbia School of Law and was the Editor-in-Chief of the Columbia Journal of Gender & Law. She serves as Co-Chair of the Diversity Committee at Ungaretti & Harris and focuses her practice on litigation, financial services and labor & employment.
