Ungaretti & Harris female partners make up 23.9 percent of the firm’s partnership. The Law360 ranking follows previous accolades that Ungaretti & Harris has received for its diversity efforts. In 2008, a Call to Action project undertaken by the Chicago Bar Association’s Alliance for Women noted Ungaretti & Harris for making significant gains in the number of women in its partnership ranks since 2004 when the Call to Action was initiated. The Alliance also recognized Ungaretti & Harris for having one of the highest percentages of women partners among 44 participating Chicago law firms.
“We are pleased to be recognized by Law360 for our ongoing efforts to increase the percentage of women partners at Ungaretti & Harris,” says Managing Partner Thomas M. Fahey.
Diversity Committee Co-Chair and Litigation Partner Samera S. Ludwig says, “The firm continues to seek additional ways to promote women into leadership roles. Receiving this kind of recognition will help to continue our efforts in fostering diversity.”
Ungaretti & Harris sponsors regular interest group meetings for its women attorneys, women partners and attorney mothers. These meetings involve informal dinners as well as formal events, providing a forum for socializing and problem-solving. The women partners of the firm also host networking events for professional women, women clients and colleagues.
