Emily is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department.

Her recent experience includes:

• Representing not-for-profit organizations in applying for property tax exemption and litigating their claims in the Illinois Department of Revenue.
• Representing property owners and secured lenders in property foreclosure, construction litigation, and mechanics lien disputes.
• Representing a debtor in connection with reclamation and administrative expense claims against the bankruptcy estate.
• Assisting employment related lawsuits including claims for breach of contract regarding non-solicitation and non-compete clauses and claims under the Illinois Wage Payment and Collection Act.
• Responding to requests for medical information including subpoenas, court orders, and patient release’s while ensuring compliance with HIPAA, CLIA, and applicable state law.
• Assisting in litigation and drafting complaints regarding trade secret misappropriation, unfair competition, and breach of contract claims.
• Drafting various litigation documents including complaints, answers, memoranda of law, and engaging in substantial research tasks.
