News: U&H Advises Acciona on Acquisition of Land for First U.S. Production Facility

Ungaretti & Harris partners Tom Brett and Jeff Leon recently completed a deal for Acciona Windpower that will bring the Spanish company’s first wind turbine production plant to the United States. Acciona, the world’s largest wind power developer, will build the manufacturing facility in West Branch, Iowa on a 145,000 square-meter site. Completing this deal helps Acciona generate clean energy and create more than 100 new jobs.

With an increasing demand for wind power worldwide, this new facility will be Acciona’s fourth wind turbine assembly plant; two currently operate in Spain and one in China. Construction of the new 18,000 square-meter plant will begin this month and is scheduled for completion by the end of this year.
