Ungaretti & Harris Addresses Continuing Challenges to Charitable Exemptions for Illinois Not for Profit Hospitals

Chicago, December 2, 2008 – Ungaretti & Harris LLP presented its third annual healthcare conference titled “The Continuing Challenges to the Charitable Exemption of Illinois Not for Profit Hospitals” on Thursday, November 20. An audience of over 75 people listened to Ungaretti & Harris attorneys and guest speakers discuss the mounting local, state, and federal pressure hospitals continue to face to justify their tax exemptions.
“The conference provided timely information from a diverse and regarded group of speakers, sharing their insights and viewpoints on the constantly changing federal and tax exemption landscape that not for profit hospitals face,” said Managing Partner and Healthcare and Government Practice Chair Thomas M. Fahey.
